Alcohol Education Program (AEP) - promotes accountability and responsibility of certain alcohol criminal charges in Magistrate Court and Municipal Court through educational counseling, community service, and a defensive driving/practical skills course.
Drug Court - promotes sobriety, responsibility, and accountability for non-violent offenders by placing such offenders in an intensive drug treatment program with judicial oversight. Program participation may occur as a diversionary program or as a condition of probation.
Juvenile Arbitration - provides a community-based mediation/arbitration program that, upon successful completion, offers first-time, non-violent juvenile offenders an opportunity to avoid formal prosecution of a charged offense, while promoting offender accountability while engaging the victims throughout the arbitration process. (Lexington County Only)
Pre-Trial Intervention (PTI) - assists the Circuit Solicitor and Magistrate and Municipal judges in the handling of criminal cases by diverting offenders with no significant criminal history as specified by law from the traditional criminal justice system into a program that promotes accountability and responsibility through counseling, community service, and restitution to the victim resulting in dismissal of criminal charges.
Traffic Education Program (TEP) - diverts traffic related offenses punishable by a fine and loss of four points or less from the traditional court system.
Worthless Check Unit - provides a free service to victims of fraudulent checks with the purpose of collecting restitution of such checks and when necessary prosecute the criminal charge in court.
