This week, our Chief Investigator Matt Martin presented at the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC) 2019 Fall 28th Annual Homicide Conference that took place in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Matt spoke to approximately 500 law enforcement officers from across the country about our offices use of the resources ROCIC has to offer. ROCIC was instrumental in the Kenneth Lynch murder case, a double homicide case where the victims’ bodies were never recovered.
ROCIC has proven to be a huge asset to our office when it comes to prosecuting many of our cases, especially our violent and complex crimes.
Matt was also presented with an award for his efforts to help recruit new agencies around the state to join ROCIC.
ROCIC is one of six Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) centers, serving thousands of law enforcement member agencies in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, Puerto Rico and the U. S. Virgin Islands.
ROCIC and the RISS Program offer law enforcement agencies and officers a full range of services, from the beginning of an investigation to the ultimate prosecution and conviction of criminals. ROCIC provides services and resources that directly impact law enforcement's ability to successfully resolve criminal investigations and prosecute offenders, while promoting officer safety.
