Woman Sent to Prison for Drug Trafficking

Theresa Dianne Wilson, age 40, pled guilty to Trafficking Methamphetamine - Second Offense this week in the County of Lexington and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. This charge is classified as a “no parole” offense under South Carolina law as well as a violent and serious crime.

Assistant Solicitor Matt Edgerton handled the prosecution of this case for our office.

The Lexington County Sheriff's Department Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on Wilson’s residence in Gaston. Law enforcement seized approximately 14 grams of methamphetamine and located drug paraphernalia as well as digital scales.

Wilson has prior convictions for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Distribution of Methamphetamine, and Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature.
