Congratulations to our Investigator Traci Barr who was recognized yesterday for her work on behalf of children in the County of Lexington while at the Lexington County Sheriff's Department and here at our office. Senator Katrina Shealy SC Senate presented Traci with a resolution from the South Carolina Senate honoring her for her career of outstanding public service.

Traci currently serves as one of our investigators, where she assists our prosecutors with preparing General Sessions cases for trial by interviewing witnesses, collecting records, analyzing data, and serving subpoenas. She previously served fifteen consecutive years with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, filling roles as Sergeant in Major Crimes, Major Crimes Detective, and Deputy. She was tasked with implementing the department's first Special Victims Unit. Traci has spent several years committed to working child abuse cases. Prior to this, she served as a Police Patrolman with the West Columbia Police Department.

Traci has received eight major case awards for special achievement, tactical support, and investigative contributions and has received various letters of commendation. We are grateful for her service, passion, and years of dedication to the people of Lexington County. #Service #greatchildhoods #StopChildAbuse
