Will Hollingsworth, age 32, pled guilty this week in Lexington County General Sessions Court to Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin.  He was sentenced to fifteen years, suspended to an active sentence of ten (10) years. The sentence will be followed by three years of probation.

This case was prosecuted by 11th Circuit Assistant Solicitor Matt Edgerton.

On December 17th, 2018, probation agents, along with members of the Lexington Police Department served a search warrant at Hollingsworth’s residence within the town limits of Lexington.  While executing the search warrant, approximately five grams of Heroin with an estimated street value of $1,000.00 dollars was found in the home. Digital scales commonly used in the trade of narcotics were also recovered. Approximately $4,000.00 dollars, in small denominations indicative of the sale of narcotics, was found by investigators serving the search warrant. An extraction of Hollingsworth’s cell phone revealed that he was actively selling Heroin.

Hollingsworth’s criminal record included a prior narcotics conviction and Burglary 3rd degree.
