Edgefield County Sex Offender, Randolph S. Turner, Jr., age 71, pled guilty this week to Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor – 3rd Degree. Circuit Court Judge Frank R. Addy, Jr., sentenced Turner to 7 years in prison. This charge is classified as a violent crime.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant Solicitor Robby McNair and investigated by the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office. The work of our office to protect children in our communities continues to be a primary focus.

Turner is required to register as a sex offender and will be subject to electronic monitoring following his release from the Department of Corrections. During the investigation, Turner admitted to the abuse.
