Lexington County is United Against Child Abuse

Fri, 04/06/2018

Today, we joined agencies from across the County of Lexington to stand against child abuse and raise awareness of the need for proactive measures to protect our children. Our office planted pinwheels at the Lexington County Courthouse along with Lisa Comer - Lexington County Clerk of Court by the fountain. Solicitor Rick Hubbard and others then participated in the pinwheel planting at the Dickerson Children's Advocacy Center. As the symbol for child abuse prevention, the pinwheel represents hope, health, and happiness. The pinwheel is an uplifting symbol of childhood. It represents our efforts to ensure the healthy development of children.

We stand proudly with the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center, the County of Lexington, the Clerk of Court, Lexington Police Department, Lexington County Sheriff's Department, Town of Springdale Police Department, Irmo Police Department, West Columbia Police Department, Cayce Department of Public Safety, Swansea Police Department - "Home of the Tigers", Gaston Police Department, Batesburg-Leesville Police Department, Pelion Police Department, Pine Ridge Police Department, South Congaree Police Department, South Carolina Attorney General, and the Lexington County South Carolina Department of Social Services in our commitment to preventing child abuse. #WearBlueDay #11thCircuit #GreatChildhoods #PinwheelsForPrevention #NationalChildAbusePreventionMonth #LexingtonCountyUnitedAgainstChildAbuse
