Saluda County home burglar sentenced to 10 Years in Prison

Da'Vashea Rhodes has been sentenced to 10 years of incarceration in Saluda County for the burglary of a home on Bonham Road. Rhodes forced entry by breaking a lock and a door frame of the home. Rhodes and an accomplice stole electronics and multiple firearms from the residence.

Rhodes then fled the scene & led police on a high speed chase involving the Saluda Police Department, Saluda County Sheriff's Office, Johnston Police Department, & the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office. Multiple guns were found in the vehicle driven by Rhodes and the accomplice.

Rhodes was a repeat offender with a prior conviction for burglary.

This case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant Solicitor Al Eargle. Multiple local agencies were involved in the apprehension of these suspects. Circuit Court Judge William P. Keesley handed down the sentence. Rhodes will be transported to the S.C. Department of Corrections to begin service of the sentence immediately.
