Lexington County had Six Murder Convictions in last 170 Days

During the last 170 days, there have been 6 murder convictions in Lexington County.  We thank the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, West Columbia Police Department, and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) for their hard work, dedication, and assistance in all of these cases.

Charles Morehouse was convicted at trial for the murder of James David Porter, III. David Walker, Jr. was convicted at trial in the fatal domestic violence murder of his girlfriend, Carrie Banty. Jeffrey Kight, Jr. pled guilty to the murder of William Rush Falls. Sean Peters pled guilty to the domestic violence murder of his wife, Rachel Peters, who had an active order of protection against him. John Christopher Hart was convicted at trial in the murder-for-hire death of Paula Justice. And finally, Alex Wallace has pled guilty to murder in the home invasion killing of Roy Chris Cooper. Wallace is currently awaiting sentencing. #TBT
