Fri, 06/23/2017

Child Abuser, Zedric Quattlebaum, was found guilty of Great Bodily Injury to a Child in just 15 minutes this evening by a Lexington County jury.

Senior Assistant Solicitor Rhonda Patterson and Assistant Solicitor Shannon Davis represented the State during the trial of the case. Lt. Connie Billings and Town of Batesburg-Leesville Police Department handled the investigation along with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

The collaborative efforts of the Solicitor's Office and law enforcement resulted in justice today for Quattlebaum's biological daughter. Quattlebaum caused a head injury resulting in a subdural hematoma to his infant daughter due to violent shaking.

Circuit Court Judge Eugene Griffith, Jr., sentenced Quattlebaum to 15 months active prison time followed by a period of supervision after hearing mitigation from his defense attorney. Quattlebaum is on the Child Abuse Registry as a result of this conviction.
