Lakenzil Damon Tatum was sentenced to 8 years for Felony DUI Death yesterday in McCormick County.

Assistant Solicitor Doug Fender handled the prosecution of this case.

While Tatum was driving, he lost control of the vehicle, hitting a ditch and a tree before the vehicle rolled over. Tatum and his two passengers were ejected from the vehicle, which resulted in the death of one of the passengers, Damon Martin.

South Carolina Highway Patrol investigated this wreck and determined that Tatum was driving under the influence when the accident occurred.
