10 Years in Prison for Armed Robbery that took place in Springdale

Thank you Town of Springdale Police Department and Captain Joshua Bice for your hard work on this case. Jonathan Borrero was sentenced today to 10 years for an armed robbery which occurred at the Carolina Lodge Motel. Borrero received ten years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) for his role in the Armed Robbery. The Carolina Lodge Motel is located at 2204 Airport Boulevard in the Springdale area of Lexington County.

The incident occurred during daylight hours and was captured on the motel's video surveillance system. The victim was on foot near the parking area of the motel. In court, Borrero admitted to holding a gun to the back of the victim and to taking the victim’s money. The Springdale Police Department conducted a detailed investigation which ultimately led to Borrero’s arrest.

Circuit Court Judge Michael Nettles imposed the sentence. Assistant Solicitor Sutania Radlein handled the prosecution of this case for the Eleventh Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
