30 Year Sentence on Murder Guilty Plea before Trial

Jeffrey O. Kight, Jr., pled guilty to murder for the shooting death of his neighbor William Rush Falls. The guilty plea took place on Monday, following jury qualifications, as the Solicitor’s Office was prepared to begin the murder trial in Lexington County. Kight was sentenced to 30 years for murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Deputy Solicitor Suzanne Mayes and Assistant Solicitor Bradley Pogue handled the prosecution of this case on behalf of the Solicitor’s Office.
